Vintage Pop Art vase 1579 in beautiful red color glass by Finnish female designer Tamara Aladin, known for her Modernist designs.
1960s - 1970s, Riihimäki glassworks. Height 18.3 cm. Excellent vintage condition.
This vase has a slight opalescent effect on the base.
Opalescent glass - semi-transparent, refracting light in a unique way. Named after the precious gemstone opal, also known as the "moonstone" due to a similar optical effect.
Light often refracts more intensely along the edges of the object. They appear to "glow".
