Heikki Orvola Arabia, Tuikku Green Candle Holder, 1970s
Heikki Orvola Arabia, Tuikku Green Candle Holder, 1970s
Vintage Tuikku candle holder (Finnish for “Small light”) designed by Heikki Orvola for Arabia Wärtsilä, Finland, in the late 1970s to early 1980s.
Crafted in vivid green glass, the piece is composed of two interlocking parts: a cylindrical base with a broad rim for stability, and a rounded dome-shaped top with an open mouth for dispersing candlelight. The modular design allows the upper part to sit snugly in the base, creating a lantern-like silhouette that's both sculptural and functional.
Dimensions: Height is 15.3 cm. Excellent vintage condition.
Its clean lines, rich color, and elemental form embody the essence of Finnish modernism, making it ideal for midcentury, Scandinavian, or minimal interiors. It also integrates beautifully into contemporary or eclectic spaces as a design statement that balances function, form, and material honesty.
Perfect for adding soft, atmospheric light to shelves, tables, or meditative corners.
