Collection: Brand: Karhula
The history of the Karhula glassworks is intertwined with the emergence and development of the modernist style of art glass and tableware in the 1930s-1950s.
During that time in Karhula were working such designers as:
- The iconic couple Aino and Alvar Aalto, creators of the first cult modernist glass series Bölgeblick and Savoy;
- Göran Hongell, the first permanent chief designer of glass production in Scandinavia.
